Cheeseburgers with Onion Bacon Jam (Organic/GMO-Free)

Onion Bacon Jam. People- go and make this now. It stores well and it tastes amazing alone, in baked beans, on a grilled cheese and on a cheeseburger! KaceyCooks

Accept my sincerest apologies for going on and on about my Onion Bacon Jam.  I honestly can't help it.  It's that good.  I was just telling TSM that I am going to enter it into some type of bacon recipe contest because I nailed it with this recipe.  Also please accept my apologies for lack of a proper photo of this glorious creation.  It smelled so good and was dripping with happy bacon and Gruyere cheesy goodness that I actually started eating before I remembered that I needed a few pictures for the blog.  It happens- I actually eat before I shoot pictures some times, and sadly the pictures are uglier when that happens.  I hope you'll forgive me.

Fast and Furious Friday: Creamy Mushroom & Beef Stroganoff

Creamy Mushroom and Beef Stroganoff by KaceyCooks
Holy Shazam America!  This dish is FAB.YOO.LUSS!  Hand to God, Scouts Honor, Swear on someone's Grandmammy's grave- FABULOUS!  And I don't like stroganoff, so that is saying something!  Beef Stroganoff is one of TSM's most favorite meals.  The man has a serious thing for sour cream.  He only eats Mexican food because he's convinced sour cream exists solely to be a delivery system for the Mexican food.  I on the other hand could live quite happily without having sour cream so I've always been torn when it comes to making Stroganoff for The Stud Muffin because he loves it and I can't stand it.  That is, until tonight. I've changed my mind and this recipe is to thank for that.

Out of the Box Hamburger Helper

Out of the Box Hamburger Helper by KaceyCooks
That's right HH, you should be shaking in your salty boots
I'm becoming a bit of a curmudgeon in my not so old age.  I'm also a little persnickety when it comes to Processed-salt lick-fake-unwholesome-dinner-in-a-box meals.  Specifically, Hamburger Helper (HH).   Whose bright idea was it to brainwash busy mothers everywhere into thinking this was a suitable replacement for something homemade?  Oh, I know- it's FAST.  And all you have to do is brown some hamburger and throw in a blood pressure rising seasoning packet, some water and some noodles and Viola- You just cooked dinner!  (applause, roses being thrown onto the stage, take a bow, grab your trophy and pat yourself on the back)... I loathe these types of "meals".

Skinny Meatloaf (aka "Does this meatloaf make my pants look big?")

Skinny Meatloaf- Full of flavor, veggies, and it won't expand your wasteband or your wallet.

I have a confession to make. I don't like Lipton Onion Soup Mix (LOSM) I'm actually afraid of it.  I had that stuff cooked into almost every ground beef dish my Mom or Step-Dad made, and I couldn't stand it.  To make matters worse, my Step-Dad LOVED onions.  And he loved undercooked onions, and he loved piles and piles of onions where maybe half an onion would have worked perfectly.  I'm sure once my folks read this I'll be removed from the will.  I'll probably even be accused of being dramatic, but I can take it.  I can take it.  Bring it on, you onion pushers- bring it on.
